De la Rocha’s newest release, “Running Back,” serves as a 90s nostalgic anthem for self-love and celebrating your authentic self. She shares, “In those moments when you've lost yourself, your sense of worth, or sight of your best self, this track serves as a reminder to grant yourself grace, self-love, and self-care during those challenging times. It encourages you to surround yourself with what brings you joy and with those who adore you, embracing every facet of your being.”

“My music is my soundtrack and interwebbings of my influences of 1980s/1990s synthesizers, fantasy, fashion, goth, freestyle and dream pop. ‘Running Back’ is my romantic tribute to my younger self, a lesson in embracing my current state, and a reminder to always run it back to those things in life that bring me pure bliss. I comment on my Walkman skipping and my pager blowing up, nostalgically relishing the time when those were my biggest worries.” The music video also pays homage to her inner 'witchy/bruja' side, inspired by her Cuban and Mexican upbringing infused with Catholicism and Santeria, where rituals involving holy water and white rose petals were as commonplace as breathing.
